January 21, 2013 The Stump is out!!!

Done! I have removed The Beast! Wow! What an ordeal. As spindly as it looks, it is astonishingly heavy. I can't lift it, even adjusting for its unbalanced shape. I have to drag it around; my neighbor helped me get it out. Now, what to do with it. I've decided that making a table out of it is completely impractical. It takes up MUCH more space than I first assumed. I'm thinking that it will become a decoration in the water feature that will ultimately be here. If that goes as planned, I will have turtles, and they can use the this on which to sun themselves.

I'm guessing that from the bottom of the hole to the top of the dirt pile on the right is a range of five and half feet, give or take a few inches. Now, where do I put all of that dirt? I would hate to fill the hole, because part of my water feature will be there. If I just put the dirt back, then I'll have to dig it out again when I start the water feature. I don't mind working hard. I don't like working stupid.
