Taking a break from the digging, but wanted to show the progress on some of the plants.
The kale seems to love this soil and weather. It's going to be a standard plant for the garden.
These actually two separate plants.
Can't believe how much more these radishes have grown. The root part is completely inedible, but I've read that the greens can be harvested and used in stews or grilled.
Note how high the greens reach on my arm.
This one went the completely opposite direction. It decided to be squat and round.
And the twins. Even growing this closely together, they are still huge.
The onion bucket is still going strong.
With gourds, this is the molting stage. People think that they are rotting. Negative. Just leave them alone, and the 'skin' will flake off and leave a nice, clean surface. No work involved. Well, rather, nature does the work; you just reap the benefits.
The seed clusters are still growing nicely. The lettuces are delicious.
The saddest carrot ever. I would like to say that I just pulled this up too soon, but this has been growing for several months. Will have to do some more research on growing carrots.
