Since I've been working at night, I, unfortunately, didn't get to take in-progress pictures. BUT, I did start taking more pictures to get the work in context. The photomerge software creates severe distortion. I'm going to assume that the reader can get past this.
Note how the water is puddling in the image below. Fantastic sign. That means that the water is not running off. Just as important, the water is puddling away from the house and more toward the second level. In terms of passive water harvesting, this is significant. Water is going into the ground to be used by nature, rather than running off into the storm drains.
I'm concerned about the wall to the left. It has reached it's maximum height, but I believe it's still not high enough to level out that tier. Adding more levels of urbanite may make it dangerous. If it were a true dry-stack, I would be less concerned. But I have to layer dirt in-between to keep things level and, I fear, hurting its strength.
Details of above section.
Detail of the cross terrace; use stump as reference point.
Detail of wall bordering second ramp, just to the right of the wheel barrow.
I'm really liking the curves. Makes it feel more organic to me.
