June 30, 2012

I start welding class on Monday, so I'm motivated to get as much done as possible this weekend. The class is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 8:30 to 5:00; Friday, 9:00 to 1:00. That's a full day and leaves me little time to work on the yard.

As I said in a previous post, I believe that my grandfather wanted my grandmother to be able to line-dry clothes even after the Apocalypse. Seeing this second concrete anchor, I'm more convinced of it.


After much hammering with the sledge, it finally crumbled. Fortunately, my sledgehammer is Jedi endorsed. If you're wondering, you can guess the humidity by the saturation in my shirt.
 Compare the shovel handle in the above picture to the picture below. That's a deep hole.

Next is the root and stump zone at the end of the garden.

Those are a lot of roots.Had to break out the pickax.


Well, time to go to bed. It's now a school night. How weird.
