I've been working at night a lot. It's cooler, although, not less humid; it feels more humid, in fact. Because of my vampire-like schedule, I can't take pictures in progress, only the next day when things are already in place. Building the retaining wall is going very smoothly, even working at night. The thicknesses of the individual pieces isn't consistent, though, so I'm having to use a lot of dirt as under-fill. My concern is that the dirt will wash out. My hope is that plants will grow in and hold the dirt in place. We'll see what happens. As I said in a previous post, the plans are fluid. At this moment, I believe that the retaining wall in the foreground section will reach at least four blocks high. Any higher, I will have to make some changes. At five blocks high, it starts to get dangerous as a dry-stack.

The slash pile is most impressive. At least I'll have a decent pile of mulch when I run it through the wood chipper.
